Description
This is part of a larger collection of fifty posters produced for the Italian socialist party from 1892 to 1970. This is a poster made of white card - there is an image on the front. This is a blown up image of a PSI propaganda postcard for political elections. It shows two men shaking hands, one wearing a suit and a hat, and the other wearing dungarees. They are both holding slips of paper that they are about to put in a box. Above the box it says "elezioni politiche 3 giugno 1900" - this translates to "political elections 3 June 1900." Above these two figures there are 6 circles with faces. On the bottom of the poster there is an image of a red stamp. There is brown text on the bottom left of the poster saying "G. Modiano e C. . Milano." This is a propoganda poster for the 1900 Italian General election. General elections were held in Italy on 3 June 1900, with a second round of voting on 10 June. The "ministerial" left-wing bloc remained the largest in Parliament, winning 296 of
the 508 seats.
