This portfolio collection is 1/4 of a larger collection of fifty posters produced for the Italian Socialist Party (PSI) from 1892 to 1970. This part consists of 12 posters produced for the PSI publication 'Avanti!' (meaning "Forward!" in English) between 1986 and 1905. This poster features a design of a man standing next to a wall of text from the Avanti! newspaper, on the subject of social and political discussions. The word "Avanti!" is printed at the top in the newspaper's logo with text underneath reading: "Daily socialist newspaper of the Italian Socialist Party" The original design was likely made around 1900 and has been reproduced for this portfolio.
