Description
This portfolio collection is 1/4 of a larger collection of fifty posters produced for the Italian Socialist Party (PSI) from 1892 to 1970. This part consists of 12 posters produced for the PSI between 1946 and 1970. This poster features an illustration of a hammer and sickle (the communist symbol) in front of an open book against a black background with a red sun. Black text at the top reads: "Peace and democracy vote socialist." whilst text at the bottom reads: "Italian socialist party" (translated from Italian) The original design was likely made in the 1940's and has been reproduced for this portfolio.
