Part of "100 posters, socialist image, designed by Ettore Vitale for the direction of the Italian Socialist Party." This is part of a collection of one hundred Italian Socialist Party posters designed by artist, Ettore Vitale. This poster is large, with a white background. Top of the poster has the Italian Socialist Party logo at the top - it is red with a carnation inside. Underneath this there is black text in Italian - this translates to "25 April. Fourty Years of Liberation. With Socialists for Freedom and Democracy." There is a print drawing of people standing up and sitting down. The bottom of the poster has a black rhombus shape at the bottom, in which the people are sitting/standing on.There are green, white and red stripes in the centre of the poster,with a blue gradient next to this. Green,white and red are the colours of the Italian flag. This poster is referring to Liberation day,also known as the Anniversary of Resistance or April 25. This is a national holiday in Italy which commemorates the victory of the Italian resistance movement against Nazi Germany and the Italian Social Republic. This poster is in good condition.
