Part of "100 posters, socialist image, designed by Ettore Vitale for the direction of the Italian Socialist Party." This is part of a collection of one hundred Italian Socialist Party posters designed by artist, Ettore Vitale. This poster is large, with a white background. The top of the poster has black text in Italian - this says "Donne Protagoniste Nell'Italia Che Cambia." "Protagoniste" is highlighted in blue, and "cambia" is highlighted in yellow. This text translates to "Women Protagonists in changing Italy." Underneath this, there is a large green figure of "8", with "Marzo" written across and is highlighted in red.This says "*8th March." Behind this text, there is a repeated green print image of woman in a dress, with yellow dots over the page, but predominantly coming from the bottom left hand corner. The bottom of the poster sayss "Italian Socialist Party 1987." The 8th March in Italy is Festa Della Donna, which is International Women's Day. The yellow dots on the posters represent mimosa flowers, which are historically linked to International Women's Day. This poster is celebrating the female leaders in Italian politics.This poster is in good condition.
