Part of "100 posters, socialist image, designed by Ettore Vitale for the direction of the Italian Socialist Party." This is part of a collection of one hundred Italian Socialist Party posters designed by artist, Ettore Vitale. This poster is large, with a white background. The top left of the poster has the italian socialist party logo, with a red carnation inside. The top of the poster has black and red text in Italian saying "1'Maggio una prospettiva riformista per l'italia del lavoro che cambia." This translates to "May 1. A reformist perspective for changing work in Italy." There is a large one underneath this, with blue, green, orange and yellow. The 1 May is International workers'day, also know as Labour day. This is a celebration of labourers and the working classes that is promoted by the international Labour movementand occurs every year on May 1. It was abolished under the fascist regime and was restored after the second world war - May Day is now an important celebration in Italy and is a national holiday. This poster is in good condition. The poster was created in 1987
