Description
A postcard featuring a photograph from 1914 of Emmeline Pankhurst being arrested. In the photo Pankhurst is being grabbed by a police officer as she shouts at men walking past in suits. Black text on the back of the postcard reads: "Arrest of Mrs Pankhurst / Mrs Pankhurst being arrested while trying to present a petition to King George V, at Buckingham Palace, 21 May 1914. The arresting officer, Superintendant Rolfe, died a fortnight later."
