Description
This is a postcard with a Henri Matisse painting on the front. The original painting was created in 1923, and shows a woman sat at a table with a violin in her lap. Henri Émile Benoît Matisse was a French visual artist, known for both his use of colour and his fluid and original draughtsmanship. He was a draughtsman, printmaker, and sculptor, but is known primarily as a painter. There is a handwritten message on the reverse of the postcard reading "women demand peace for the world!"
