This is a postcard with a painting on the front - this is a painting by Francis Bacon called "Study for Portrait of Van Gogh." Bacon based this painting on a self-portrait by Vincent Van Gogh which he knew only from photographs, as it had been destroyed by wartime bombing. Someone has written on the front of the postcard "Women demand peace for the world." This is also written on the reverse side.
