Description
Poster advertising musician Angel Parra in Concert.
The poster shows an illustrated image of Angel Parra's head, surrounded by black and red jagged lines. Beneath the image reads "For Peace and the Struggle of the Peoples of Latin America". The concert was sponsored by the Chile Solidarity Campaign, the Nicaragua Solidarity Campaign, the El Salvador Solidarity Campaign, West Hampstead Communist Party of Great Britain, Artery, The Camden Scanner, and the Carila Resource Centre.

The concert was presented by the Chile Cultural Centre, which aimed to raise awareness for the culture of Chile during the military dictatorship of the country, following the coup of 1973. During the Junta rule, many refugees fled Chile, especially left-wing politicians and artists who were at risk of imprisonment, torture, and killings.
