Pete Seeger was an American folk singer known from the 1960s as a prominent singer of protest music in support of disarmament, civil rights, workers rights and environmental causes. He was the brother of Peggy Seeger, another American folk singer who left the USA during the McCarthy Era, staying in the UK.

Quilarpayun were a folk music group from Chile, who found santuary in France during the Military Junta led by Pinochet, under which they would have been at risk of imprisonment, torture and death due to their connection to the Popular Unity Government that preceded the Junta.
