Harry Landis was a British actor and director born to a Jewish Polish mother in 1926, and educated in Stepney Jewish School. He entered acting through a Trade Union Shop Steward encouraging him to go to the Unity Theatre, which was linked heavily with the Trade Union Movement.

Pauline Melville was an English-Guyanese writer and actor.

Alexei Sayle was an English actor and comedian, born in Liverpool. His parents were both members of the Communisty Party of Great Britain, and his mother was of Lithuanian Jewish descent. He was a leading performer in the London comedy circuit in the 1980s.
