Description
Poster showing a year-to-view calendar, 1979.

The left of the poster features a photograph of a patchwork artwork depicting five doves of peace flying towards a sun. To the right are the dates of the year divided into months. Above the calendar reads "Chile 'we want people to know the truth'". Beneath the image reads "Never give in or stray from the road" and a credit for the artwork "Patchwork art of resistance, made by women in the shanty towns of Santiago"

The calendar was produced by the Chile Solidarity Campaign to raise funds to support those living under the repressive dictatorship of Augustus Pinochet. The patchwork featured was similar to many that were made by women in Chile and sold by the CSC to raise funds to support them through community actions such as soup kitchens.
