Description
Poster, produced by the Frente Patriotico Manuel Rodriguex (FPMR), a guerilla group who fought against the Pinochet regime in Chile.
The poster features a black and white image of a man with his face covered, carrying a gun. Beneath reads "Solo la lucha heroica, combativa y permanente de todo el pueblo hara libre a Chile", meaning "Only the heroic, combative and permanent struggle of all the people will make Chile free". The group were trying to recruit support for the guerilla warfar being undertaken in opposition to the Pinochet dictatorship.
Manuel Rodriguez was a guerilla leader in the nineteenth century, and was used as inspiration for the newly-formed guerilla group.
