Description
A collage map of Spain with major towns and cities marked, and the outlines of Portugal and France.

The map includes collaged images as well as written dates and information about when different towns and cities were 'taken' by either the Fascists or Republicans. To the side of the map is a drawing of the Spanish Republican flag along with a list of key dates for the Republican cause, ending in April 30 1938 with "Announcement of 13-point Manifesto", a manifesto of aims for the Republican government of Spain.

The Republican cause was defeated by the end of 1938, after which Spain lived under the Fascist dictator Francisco Franco until his death in 1975, after which Spain began a transition back to democracy.
