Purple and white pin badge, "E.G.A. Stays O.K." in the centre, and "Save the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Hospital for Women" around the edge.

The Elizabeth Garrett Anderson hospital provided healthcare for women in central London from the mid-Victorian era; it was named after one of Britain's first female doctors in 1918 following Garrett Anderson's death. The building was threatened with closure from the 1960s, with the closure announced in 1976. Campaigning to save the hospital continued until 1979, when it was given a reprieve by the newly elected Margaret Thatcher to convert into a small gynaecological unit. The hospital merged with the Obstetric Hospital in 2000 and moved premises.
