Description
Angela Rayner's jacket, which is pale blue and has a ridged design with a zip up front.

This jacket was worn by Angela Rayner, MP for Ashton-under-Lyne, when she first appeared at Prime Minister's Questions on 16 September 2020. As Deputy Leader of the Labour Party, and Shadow Deputy Prime Minister of Her Majesty's Official Opposition, it was unusual for Rayner to deliver the Opposition's questions to then Prime Minister, Boris Johnson. Questions are usually posed by the Leader of the party in Opposition. On this occasion Ms Rayner stepped in for the Labour Party leader, Sir Keir Starmer, who was unable to attend Parliament due to COVID-19 rules requiring him to self-isolate at home. Ms Rayner questioned Johnson on pay for care workers, provision of COVID testing, and restrictions on who could accompany people giving birth during the pandemic.

Angela Rayner is from Stockport, and has been MP for Ashton-under-Lyne since 2015.
