Description
This sheet contains a very large drawing of a building in grey pen, drawn on the back of a 'Solidarity with Iran' poster. The building has a sign saying, 'The Castle' and is likely a drawing of the building in which the Poster Collective was based.

The Poster Collective was a collective formed in 1971 at the Slade School of Art, a group formed to produce posters in a coherent visual style, initially responding to the 1972 Miners' Strike, the Vietnam war, and civil rights and anti-colonial struggles in Northern Ireland. Throughout their active period in the 1970s-1980s, Poster Collective works also focused on anti-racist organising, African decolonial armed resistance, and women's equality. The group was not-for-profit, creating posters for educational purposes using a variety of hand printing techniques.
