Description
Paddington Printshop was a graphic art and printmaking centre active in west London between 1975 and 1989. The Printshop worked collaboratively with members of local organisations and campaigns to create over 400 poster designs, and thousands of leaflets. The printshop was active in the 70's and 80's, producing posters on a wide range of political issues, including for educational purposes. The group was not-for-profit and used a variety of hand-printing techniques to create their posters. This is a red and white poster, with large text reading "Abolition every woman's right to choose." There is a sketch image of a woman, with red hair; there are images of cutout people holding hands in her hair. There is a box underneath the title with more text. This reads, "Most abortions will become illegal if the Abortion Amendment Bill becomes law. Campaign against this bill. Meet at 510 Harrow Rd on Sat 21 June at 12:30 to go together to a demonstration." This is a screenprint, and was created
in 1974 by John Phillips. This was created at the 510 centre.
