Description
OutRage! was a queer direct action group formed in May 1990 and active until 2011. Its aims were to assert the human rights of LGBTQIA people; to fight homophobia, discrimination and violence; and to affirm rights to sexual freedom and self-determination. This is a plain white poster with black text reading "PORTILLO SUCKS!" This is a reference to Michael Portillo, previous UK Secretary of State for Defence, who upheld the ban on gay men joining the military whilst in the position. The OutRage! logo is at the bottom of the poster.
