Description
OutRage! was a queer direct action group formed in May 1990 and active until 2011. Its aims were to assert the human rights of LGBTQIA people; to fight homophobia, discrimination and violence; and to affirm rights to sexual freedom and self-determination. This is a black poster with white text reading "STOP CLAUSE 25 / CONSENT IS NOT A CRIME" Clause 25 in the proposed 1990 Criminal Justice Bill lumped consensual acts between gay men into the the same category as non-consensual sexual and violent crimes; queer rights groups like OutRage! organised protests to fight back against the criminalisation of non-straight sex and sexuality.
