Lavender Menace was a group of lesbian radical feminists who protested the exclusion of LBQ+ women from the wider feminist movement at the Second Congress to Unite Women in 1970. Many members were part of the Gay Liberation Front (GLF). They had reclaimed the term 'lavender menace' which originally had negative associations.
