Description
A hooded, long sleeved wheelchair length dress made from protest t-shirts from the Disabled People's Direct Action Network (DAN). In the torso the main t-shirt reads 'Disability Pride'. The rest of the t-shirts are stitched to this one. The hood and thigh areas both read 'Proud, Angry and Strong', the stomach area reads 'To boldly go where all others have gone before' and the knee area reads 'Piss on Pity'.

"This dress is an unusual shape because it was handmade for me and I am nonbinary," says Dennis Queen, the dress's owner. "It was designed to cover me fully head to toe from the sun in Philadelphia, so it's longer than usual to allow the extra length used when seated. It has small kick pleats to allow standing transfers safely."
