Description
A round pink badge with an illustration of a rainbow striped wheelchair user.

This badge was made by the disabled LGBTQIA+ charity, Regard. 1 in 3 LGBTQIA+ people are also disabled, which is a larger proportion than in the wider population, and many disabled LGBTQIA+ people face discrimination within both LGBTQIA+ spaces for being disabled, and within disabled spaces for being LGBTQIA+.

Regard is a national organisation of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender, queer and intersex people who self identify as disabled. Their main aims are to provide information, advice and support to LGBTQIA+ disabled people, combatting social isolation within the disabled LGBTQIA+ community, and campaigning on issues affecting disabled LGBTQIA+ people, including making LGBTQIA+ community events more accessible to disabled LGBTQIA+ people, and encouraging better LGBTQIA+ inclusive practice from providers of social care for disabled people.
