Description
A purple leaflet with the union jack as the background (colour washed to also be purple). The leaflet has a text box of purple text saying 'UKIP. What we stand for. A statement of principles: patriotism, national democracy, political democracy, economic democracy, liberalism & traditionalism'.
The UK Independence Party (UKIP) is a right wing Eurosceptic political party promoting British nationalism and isolationism. UKIP was founded in 1993, and was one of the first parties to call for Britain to leave the European Union. Their political platform targets the white working class with a focus on restricting immigration, and treating the existence of Muslims in the UK as a problem threatening British society. Their social policies are also against LGBTQIA+ rights, pro capital punishment, and against human rights legislation.
UKIP is opposed by anti-fascist groups, and much of the political and media spectrum in the UK as their policies and statements on immigration and cultural identity are racist and xenophobic.
