Fold out leaflet titled "WHAT IS CRUISE?" with an image of a missile flying over a town. The leaflet contains information and photographs of Cruise missiles in Britain. It was published by Otley Peace Action Group.


Multiple military bases were used by the UK and US militaries for housing cruise nuclear missiles during the 1980s. Protesters from peace camps at RAF Greenham Common, Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND), and others would report on vehicle movements, blockade roads and form human chains to stop the vehicles transporting the missiles, a protest action known as 'Cruisewatch'. In 1987, following the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces treaty, the cruise missiles were removed from Greenham between 1989 and 1991, with the US Air Force (USAF) leaving in 1992.
