Stand Up To Racism (SUTR) is an anti-racist group which runs in collaboration with its sister organisation Unite Against Fascism (UAF), sharing most of their senior leadership team including its joint secretaries Weyman Bennet and Sabby Shalu, and president Diane Abbott. The groups were founded in 2003 by the Socialist Workers Party and the National Assembly Against Racism, in response to the success of the far right British National Party (BNP) in elections that year. They enjoy support from many of Britain's main trade unions including the TUC, Unite, and UNISON in their efforts to campaign against fascism and racism in the UK.
