Description
Photocopied handwritten letter on headed paper "The Anti-Trident Campaign (Formerly S.C.A.T)" with an image of a submarine's tower through the surface of water in the bottom right of the page. The letter explains the Scottish Campaign Against Trident (SCAT) renaming to the Anti-Trident Campaign. It invites other anti-nuclear groups to associate with it and to attend the Convention of Anti-Trident Delegates in Glasgow and a die-in protest organised by Scottish Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND).

Trident is the UK’s nuclear weapons programme with the stated purpose of a deterrent, according to the Ministry of Defence. It was established in 1980 and now operates out of a Royal navy base in Clyde on the west coast of Scotland. Anti-nuclear and peace activists have continually protested against Trident since its inception.
