Description
Flyer titled "Sale of Nuclear Weapons - Lastest Trident Imports Trident Missiles". It sarcastically advertises various nuclear weapons with bullet points such as "Also many handy uses for nuclear war in Europe, With life-and-death control of even more millions of people, make your neighbours green with envy!" There are illustrations of nuclear missiles and submarines. The bottom third of the flyer is titled "On second thoughts" and is a pre-printed form to affiliate your organisation to the Anti-Trident Campaign.
Trident is the UKâs nuclear weapons programme with the stated purpose of a deterrent, according to the Ministry of Defence. It was established in 1980 and now operates out of a Royal navy base in Clyde on the west coast of Scotland. Anti-nuclear and peace activists have continually protested against Trident since its inception.
