Description
Black and white leaflet titled "Stop Trident Encircle Aldermaston" describing a planned demonstration at RAF Aldermaston on 4th April organised by the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND). The leaflet includes a timetable of the events of the day, and the reverse includes information of what to do in case of arrest.
The Aldermaston marches, also known as the Easter marches, took place between 1958 and 1965, with the CND organising them from 1959. There were intermittent revivals of the original march from 1972 and 2004. Tens of thousands of people attended each year.
Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND) is an organisation that campaigns for peace and for governments around the world to demilitarise and discard existing and new nuclear weapons programmes.
