This booklet was published to provide advice to women in the process of seeking asylum, their support networks and also legal professionals about how to effectively navigate a complex immigration legal system.

Legal Action for Women is a grassroots user-led anti-sexist anti-racist free legal service founded in London in 1982. It is staffed by a mixture of qualified lawyers and lay workers and largely works with sex workers, immigrant women, single mothers and other women facing injustice.
