Description
Round black badge, "Aldermaston 1962 Youth CND [Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament]" in white around the edge. In the centre is the CND logo, more widely known as the peace symbol, with the central lines in white, with red stripes on the left side, and blue stripes on the right side. The Aldermaston marches, also known as the Easter marches, took place between 1958 and 1965, with the CND organising them from 1959. There were intermittent revivals of the original march from 1972 and 2004. Tens of thousands of people attended each year.
