Round red badge with "ilea Protect Our Education" in white. From the 'l' of "ilea" is a flag with an X on it. ILEA refers to Inner London Education Authority, which was London's education authority between 1965 and 1990. In 1981 and 1983, it survived attempts to abolish it. It eventually was abolished following the dismantling of the Greater London Council (GLC) by the Conservative government.
