This scarf was worn by a striking London Ambulance Service worker on a picket line during the January 2023 strike. Ambulance workers in a number of regions went on strike in December 2022 and January 2023 in a bid to have their pay increased and to protest underfunding of the NHS. Further strikes in March 2023 were called off after the government agreed to pay negotiations.
