Description
Screenprinted poster, "Future Tense - a videotape directed by J.ten Brink/Liz Allan produced by Moonshine Community Arts". "Future Tense" repeats in black in horizontal lines across a bright green background. Across the centre of the poster as if in a ripped out section of the page is a black and white image of a missle travelling through a black sky. At the bottom is a white rectangle as if for handwriting information in. Also on the green background is a repeating pattern of various stick people in white.

This poster was made by Paddington Printshop, a community graphic design and print workshop in West London, co-founded by John Phillips and Pippa Smith. Between 1975-1991, the centre printed over 400 designs for left-wing community organisations. These publicised local political campaigns such as housing rights and food co-ops, to social gatherings including play days, gardening clubs, gigs and festivals. Their do-it-yourself style was part of the proto-punk ethos.
