Description
Screenprinted poster, "Mulberry Tenants Association Silver Jubilee Fair at the Mulberry Centre" in puple text on a red background. "Silver Jubilee" is printed inside the white ribbon as part of a coat of arms design, with a stylised golden lion wearing a crown and holding a spear. Below in smaller text is "Saturday 24th September - Norman Beaton, start of TV's The Fosters." The smallest text paragraph reads "Childrens fancy dress competition - pancakes & popcorn - treasure hunt - sideshows - lucky dip - raffle - tombola - cakes & jam - Pearly King and Queen - surprise guests - gift stall - toys & books - plant stall - apple bobbing. Everyone welcome - come along and join in the fun".

This poster was made by Paddington Printshop, a community graphic design and print workshop in West London, co-founded by John Phillips and Pippa Smith. Between 1975-1991, the centre printed over 400 designs for left-wing community organisations. These publicised local political campaigns such as housing rights and food co-ops, to social gatherings including play days, gardening clubs, gigs and festivals. Their do-it-yourself style was part of the proto-punk ethos.
