Pamphlet 'DIRECT ACTION' by April Carter. The booklet is a a cream colour, with blue text. The front cover notes that "The purpose of the pamphlet is to examine nonviolent methods of opposing wars, tyranny & other forms of oppression". Originally published in 1962, this updated version was published in the 1970s.

Alice Carter was a British peace activist known for her contributions to direct action and civil disobedience. She was a key figure in the Direct Action Committee Against Nuclear War, and she organised a number of protests including the Aldermaston March.
