Description
Booklet, 'Racism Harassment in London' a report of a panel inquiry set up by The Greater London Council (GLC) Police Committee. Likely produced as part of the GLC's anti-racism project 1845-85. The front cover is purple with the title printed like a white and red stamp in the middle. The additional information is printed towards the bottom in white, with the logo of the Greater London Council (GLC) beneath. The back cover is plain purple. The report showed that racial harassment in London was on the increase.
The reference to 'Keep GLC' relates to the Thatcher government's plan to abolish the Greater London Council. The council was run by left wing Labour Party politician Ken Livingstone, who's policies were in direct opposition to the government's. The politically motivated abolition of the GLC took place in 1985.
