Description
Booklet, Women's Equality Party Policy Document, 20 October 2015. This was the first policy document created by the Women's Equality Party. The front cover shows the party logo in different colours, with the tag line 'Because equality is better for everyone'.

Inside, the booklet discusses the party model and outlines the six core objectives of the party. It goes on to look at each of these objectives in more depth, and the individual policies which will impact each one. The document includes personal stories from members each beginning "WE are...", and infographics. At the end of the booklet is a list of supporters.

The six objectives are: equal representation in politics, business, industry and working life; equal pay and opportunities; equal parenting and caregiving; an education system that creates opportunities for all; equal treatment of women by the media; an end to violence against women.

The Women's Equality Party (WEP) was formed in 2015 by journalist Catherine Mayer and broadcaster Sandi Toksvig. The party existed to champion gender equality, to the benefit of all. In 2024 the organisation was dissolved.
