Description
Handmade Neuro Pride handbag, created by Newbridge College Girls Group.

The handbag is black with a rainbow created from sequins on the top and the neurodivergent infinity symbol also in rainbow sequins on the bottom right hand side. "Neuro Pride" has been printed in white on the bottom left of the bag. The bag was made from cardboard and a black t-shirt, to be used by Dr Shirley Woods-Gallagher at an awards ceremony where she was promoting the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter Bee Neuroinclusive Code of Best Practice. The code was launched on 10 October 2025.

The bag was inspired by a home made bag taken to an awards ceremony by actor Hannah Waddingham. A participant from Newbridge College, who made the bag said "Our Neurodiversity bag was made from recycled products that consisted of cardboard, old T -shirts and colourful sequins that represented the neuro divulgence colours. We made the bag shape and stuck together using a hot glue gun. We had a big decision to make around how we could ensure the contents would remain inside the bag ; we used a piece of Velcro with a button. It looked a bit plain so decided to make an infinity logo to the side."
