8pp Ministry of Labour booklet âThe Disabled Do A Good Job/ Employers everywhere are proving that when they are given a fair chanceâ. Front cover has 8 square images of different people and the number â2â written in pen in top right hand corner. Inside gives case studies of disabled people in work.
32pp booklet for âThe Disabled at Work Exhibitionâ which took place in Sophia Gardens, Cardiff from 5th-7th October 1965. The inside has advertisements, information about various organisations, workplaces and about the exhibition. The front cover has been torn and the top right hand corner is missing.
8pp Ministry of Labour booklet âThe Disabled Persons Register/ An Employment Service for the Disabledâ in a Q&A format. Produced in January 1959. The Disabled Persons Register was a voluntary list kept by the Ministry of Labour. You had to apply with a Disablement Resettlement Officer who had the job of helping disabled people with employment. There was one at every Employment Exchange. Registration was granted for any period of one to ten years depending on the nature of the disability with the expiry date being shown on the certificate.
Backed, red poster/ notice for âThe Quota Scheme for the Employment of Disabled Personsâ coming into operation on 1 March 1946. The standard percentage of Disabled Persons to be employed was to be 2%. Only those disabled persons registered under the Act counted towards the quota.

Following the end of World War II, which caused thousands of people to become disabled, the Department of Employment (formerly the Ministry of Labour) advocated for the integration of disabled people into the work force.
