Following years of campaigning and direct action by disabled activists, the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) became law on 8 November 1995.
The DDA was the first law intended to prevent discrimination against disabled people in education, work, housing, public services, and transport. 30 years later, this display explores campaigns fought by disabled activists then and now, highlighting both progress and battles still to be won.
