Heart & Parcel is a Manchester based food and education project bringing women from migrant communities together to develop English skills and cook food, while sharing experiences along the way. In 2019 they published a cookbook, giving a platform to the women, their stories and recipes. The book is used to generate more funds for this much needed informal English language provision.
Join Heart & Parcel for an evening of talks inspired by the cookbook; from the creatives behind the design, photography and words, to the women themselves who gave their recipes and stories. The evening will provide insights into the process of self publishing the book as well as the opportunity to join in making and eating delicious recipes from some of the women who attend Heart & Parcel sessions.
