Event | The National Trust's Dunham Massey and Women in Print present: Women and Power

Join us for an evening of conversation and creativity exploring themes of women and power.

The National Trust’s Dunham Massey has worked in partnership with Women in Print during 2018 to reveal untold stories of women from the Dunham Massey estate.  Five Women in Print artists have created new work to respond to these stories, now on view in the exhibition A Woman’s Place? at Dunham Massey, on display until Sunday 4 November 2018.  Historical portraits sit alongside contemporary work bringing to life women’s stories, both past and present.

Enjoy an evening celebrating women of the past, present and future:

• Welcome from PHM’s Programme Officer Helen Antrobus and introduction to the Women in Print project at Dunham Massey with creator and curator Jane Bowyer
• See images from the current exhibition A Woman’s Place? at Dunham Massey
• Watch a film about how Dunham Massey’s volunteers have researched the women of Dunham
• Have an informal chat with three of Dunham Massey’s volunteers who will reveal how they researched the stories and history of the women of Dunham Massey
• Join a workshop led by artist Lucy Ketchin and create a banner that tells your individual story.  With a love of colour and craft, Lucy works with paper and fabric to create forms and shapes exploring nature, folklore and the everyday
• Tell us which women have inspired you!
