Historical dyeing vs modern conservation dyeing

Demonstrations of dyeing will be taking place in this session, with two different techniques being introduced.  One will show how the dyes are mixed to achieve colour matches, which is a technique used by conservationists, and the other will experiment with indigo, which changes colour when exposed to oxygen.

• Drop in session, no need to book.
• Suitable for ages 11+ (under 18s must have an accompanying adult).
