Banner making workshop - People's History Museum: The national museum of democracy

PHM holds the largest collection of trade union and political banners in the world! What better place to learn about people power and the role of visual arts in campaigning.

In this very special workshop, you will:

work with a professional artist to make a collaborative banner you can take away with you
learn how banners unite people and foster solidarity, and how they convey a simple message that is memorable and universal
take part in group work that fosters connection through peer support and active listening

Details

Time: 3 hours, including 15 minute comfort break.

Suitable for:
– Upper Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 4 / ages 9-16
– Can be adapted for younger school years, youth groups, and adult groups

Capacity: 30 learners (this does not include accompanying adults)

Cost: £300 (10% discount for Greater Manchester organisations: £270)

We can offer a contracted 2 hour workshop for £250 (10% discount for Greater Manchester organisations: £225)
