What is the People’s History Museum (PHM) Take Down Policy?

PHM acts in good faith when making material available online.  If you believe that an image(s) found on PHM’s website infringes yours or someone else’s intellectual property rights, please email collections@phm.org.uk with the following information:

Your details:

  • Name
  • Organisation
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Reason for requesting withdrawal of the image(s)
  • Proof of ownership of the intellectual property rights

 

Image details:

  • Details of the image(s)
  • Link(s) to the relevant page(s) of our website

 

On receipt of a withdrawal request, PHM will:

  1. Acknowledge the request within five working days of receipt.
  2. Withdraw the reproduction of the image(s) within five working days and subsequently review the request.
  3. If the request is considered legitimate the respective image(s) will be withdrawn permanently from the PHM website.  The requester will receive an email giving details of the action taken.
  4. In the event that the request is not considered legitimate, PHM will reinstate the respective image(s).
