People’s History Museum (PHM) is the national museum of democracy and the home of ideas worth fighting for. From innovative co-curated exhibitions to award winning Family Friendly programmes, the museum delivers high quality, inclusive and creative experiences for new and existing audiences.
We’re passionate about the role our Visitor Experience team plays in ensuring that our visitors leave PHM feeling inspired by our stories of activism and motivated to take action about the issues that matter to them. We’re looking for a Visitor Experience Assistant who is energised by working as part of a team, able to communicate effectively with visitors, and able to follow processes to ensure the smooth running of the museum’s day-to-day operations. As well as the wider Visitor Experience team, you’ll be working with colleagues across the museum, from the Engagement team to Venue Hire and the Shop. You do not need any previous experience for this role as full training will be provided.
We recognise we currently under-represent Black people and People of Colour, Disabled people and LGBTQ+ people and those with intersecting identities in our workforce. PHM is actively working to address this and we particularly encourage applications from these backgrounds.
