Congratulations | Your radical is Ewan MacColl (1915-1989)

Ewan MacColl was an activist, keen rambler and the godfather of British folk music.

Black and white photograph of a white male, Ewan MacColl, with a cigarette in one hand.Ewan was key in instigating what is now known as the ‘folksong revival’.  Folk music may or may not be your cup of tea but like Ewan, you know the importance of preserving traditions and histories, and respect all that has gone before you.

Ewan helped organise the Mass Trespass of Kinder Scout, which opened up the previously restricted mountain and moorland area of the Peak District for people to explore.

Like Ewan, you respect that which has stood the test of time and understand the need to ensure future generations can learn from and enjoy their heritage.
