Banner making workshop

Banners can be important tools of protest. Understand how and why they are made, then create a striking collaborative banner.

PHM holds the largest collection of trade union and political banners in the world! What better place to learn about people power and the role of visual arts in campaigning.

In this very special workshop, you will:

  • work with a professional artist to make a collaborative banner you can take away with you
  • learn how banners unite people and foster solidarity, and how they convey a simple message that is memorable and universal
  • take part in group work that fosters connection through peer support and active listening

This workshop was made possible with Art Fund support.
